Weekend Breakfast

I absolutely LOVE breakfast! And for some reason, my weekend breakfast is always a bit better, than my workweek breakfast. Lets face it and be honest, that's just because i've got more time, to actually cook in the morning.

Let get to it. I'm gonna show some pictures, and i'll leave at comments below, with what's on it, and what did i actually do. Have fun with it, and remember! It's NEVER about having the right recipe. It's about a feeling, tasting and also how the eyes sees it. Food is much more than a good recipe :)

1. TOAST ROASTED IN PARSLEY OIL, WITH SALMON MOUSSE ON TOP, AND SPROUTS FROM A PEE PLANT.
This was an amazing breakfast! I had some parsley oil left, from the day before, that i thought i would use for roasting the toast bread in. Toast is normally, really boring! So i always seem to do just something about it. A lovely mayo salmon mousse, tasted together with salt, pepper and ofc dild! Then i do like to make the food look amazing .. So i always try my best! The topping on theese lovelies, is the sprouts from a pee plant, and that's a thing you CAN eat! So.. go eat!

2. QUINOA PORRIDGE WITH HOME JUICED BEETROOT JUICE!
I really do love porridge in the morning! It's just a problem, that i don't have time for it, in my normal workweek. Shame! This is a lovely quinoa porridge, made on milk. You can basically use any kind of milk. Cow milk? Rise milk? Soya milk? There are no rules, what so ever, when you make a lovely porridge. I topped mine with probably, what i had of fruits that day, and a little bit of dark chocolate. Then i made a juice. I love that. Making veggie juices. This one is beetroot, apple and ginger.

3. HOME BAKED SOUR DOUGH BREAD ROLLS WITH .. JUST WHATEVER YOU WANT!
It happens, that sometimes i got the time for baking. Normally i would do bread then, and not cakes. What i love the most, is when i find the time, for making a sour dough the week before (that's easier than you really think, water and flour! Feel the texture about it!), and then make lovely small bread rolls, and serve them, with what so ever, you've got in your fridge. I LOVE THAT! I never bake out of recipe, i just kinda tries my best. If you're not that confident yet, than have a quick look on the internet, about basic baking.

4. BACON EGG SANDWICH.
Who doesn't love a perfect fried egg, with some bacon (either real bacon or turkey bacon), and a lovely bread roll? Well i don't know. This is a chai seed bread roll, that i've cut in two, fried a bit on the pan, added fresh spinach on the bottom. Fried some good pieces of bacon, added that on the spinach. Fried THE PERFECT EGG (that means only fried on the one side!), added that on top of the bacon. Salt, pepper and the top of the bread roll. There you go, a perfect bacon egg sandwich for breakfast!
